Tasting Notes

Cheval Blanc, also in 2021, excelled and outclassed its rivals. Parker praised it as an incredible achievement and giving a score of 95-97/100 points. A very intense bouquet, with hints of peony, violet and small red fruits – especially raspberry. The cru, which has its 39 hectares arranged on a limestone plateau bordering Pomerol appellation. It’s characterized by a significant presence of cabernet franc in the blend (this year 52%, with 43% of merlot and 5% of cabernet sauvignon) which gives a masterful dimension on the mouth and a tension that few can reach. A wine that will do its best in the years to come, but which already reveals flashes of infinite class. A wine that vintage after vintage rewrites the history of Bordeaux. Like this 2021.
